Since 1959, King Performance Horses has been a family owned and operated training and riding academy. With a history of training horses and champion riders, KPH has earned a reputation of excellence. For well over 50 years, the King family has trained horses and riders in all Western events, and have specialized in reining horses for 35 years. The King’s attribute a lot of their successful training program to their dedicated customers and irreplaceable lesson horses throughout the years. KPH’s slogan is: ‘From Beginners to Winners’. They take that very seriously, with the many champion horses and riders having the show records to prove it. King Performance Horses has shown under the American Quarter Horse Association, the National Reining Horse Association, and the Pacific Coast Horse Association. Donna King and Joline King-Pebley are both highly involved on the boards of U.S.E.F. and P.C.H.A. Western Committees.

If Donna and Joline aren’t training, then they are judging horse shows or giving reining and horsemanship clinics, throughout California. Joline was raised in the horse show business and after college chose to follow the family tradition of becoming a professional horsewoman. Joline had a successful youth career showing horses in the stock horse and equitation classes. This year, Joline celebrates her 30th year being a professional horse trainer and has led many horses throughout those years to NRHA, CRHA, PCHA, and AQHA championships. She continues to coach as well as show in Western events, including reining, trail, and ranch horse pleasure.

The KPH family has passed down the traditions and passion of showing horses to the 3rd generation. Kailey King, a competitive non-pro rider, shows in the reining and ranch riding. During her show career as a youth and non-pro, Kailey has been an AQHyA Top 4 competitor, 4 time AQHA amateur world qualifier, as well as a Jack and Linda Baker Finals Championship in 2010. In 2008, Joe and Donna King were inducted into the California Reining Horse Hall of Fame. The King Family achievements as champion riders in their own right, as well as their record as trainers and coaches has created a legacy of knowledgeable and professional training not found anywhere else.
