It’s billed as “the most inspirational two days any horse-lover can have!” At Walkabout Tours, Clinton Anderson of Downunder Horsemanship, holds nothing back. He shares the ultimate goal of horsemanship with his personal horses and explains the training process, right from the start, by working with local problem horses. Step by step, he demonstrates how his training method helps real horses with real problems get real results. Whether you ride English or western or are a serious competitor or love to hit the trails, learn how Clinton uses the Method to develop respectful and safe horses. From problem horses and learning to build your confidence to advanced riding techniques and trick training, the weekend offers something for every level of horseman. Hacienda Sosegado is pleased to announce its “Introduction to the Peruvian Horse & Annual Sale” on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 9:30 a.m. At this one-day event, attendees will be educated and have the opportunity to ride this remarkable breed before the afternoon sale. Hacienda Sosegado, owned by D. Joy Gould, is a 15-acre ranch facility located in Hemet.  It has specialized in breeding, raising, showing, and selling top-quality Peruvian horses since 1986, with the goal of producing strong, sound, well-gaited horses with great temperaments. “I have owned and shown many Peruvian horses over the years, but more recently have made an effort to select a group of foundation horses so that their offspring would provide their owners with a well gaited, smooth riding, versatile horse for their showing and/or trail riding pleasure,” says Joy. “I believe that the gait of the Peruvian horse is the foundation upon which one builds a breeding program and so the foundation mares and stallions of Hacienda Sosegado were purchased to meet that standard.” Make your reservation in advance by calling (951)318-7782. Lunch is included. You may preview Joy’s horses at haciendasosegado YouTube channel, and be sure to see the ad on page 27 for more information.
