Rawhide Ranch has been a Southern California camp tradition since 1963. Overnight one week or multi-week summer camp sessions are available, as well as a Winter Camp week. Week-long camps feature Western riding lessons, animal and horse science classes, animal care, vaulting lessons (gymnastics on horseback) and much more. The programs are great for beginners and are ACA and CHA accredited.
In addition to our week-long summer camp, special programs are offered throughout the year at Rawhide Ranch, including its “Girls-Only” Equestrian Experience Workshop, Spotlight Weekends and Family Camp. Three-day Camps are for school groups, and weekend programs for youth group are also available September through May. Call (760) 758-0083 for more information or to reserve your spot!
CRHA Bunny Slide champs hop out front
BURBANK — The California Reining Horse Association hopped into gear March 29-31 with its Bunny Slide Reining competition Easter weekend, and the region’s top reiners earned some ground toward in their 2013 campaign toward club and affiliate qualifying for this fall’s big events.
In addition to serving as the first two National Reining Horse Association Affiliate Shows of 2013, the Bunny Slide also served up two slates of CRHA Jackpot competition. Two full slates of PCHA reining classes included two Jack and Linda Baker qualifying classes.
All told, the three-day reining at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center provided a springboard for qualifiers to the CRHA’s venerable Challenge competition, including the second annual CRHA Reiner of the Year competition, as well as a qualification to the NRHA Affiliate Finals.
