Local stores hosting big sales weekend of June 26-28!

...and Big Horse Feed in Temecula has free BBQ all 3 days!

From the Horsetrader sales staff - June 18th, 2009 - Ingate Column

“If you can’t run with the Big Horses…stay in the barn!” might be the slogan for Big Horse Feed and Mercantile in Temecula, but this weekend it might be changed to “If you can’t buy it at Big Horse…stay home!”

This is a sale not to miss June 26-28 — the 11th Annual Customer Appreciation Sale. As if prices marked 10-to-50 percent off wasn’t enough, Big Horse will throw a free customer appreciation barbeque each day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Plus, if you’re one of the first 100 customers each day, you’ll get a free Big Horse Grain Scoop with fun give-aways. The store is off of Temecula Parkway, and the ad is on Page 9.

Be sure to see the ad index on Page 102 for other stores in your area – there is savings galore this summer and this is the place to find them. For example, B&E Feed in Norco has an ad with a handful of coupons on Page 69 from everything from pet grooming to an Ace Winter blanket for just $20! Dan’s Feed and Seed has three locations (Perris, Sun City and Temecula), and you can get $2 off a Farnam Supermask at any of them. At The Wharf in Ventura, handsome, plaid, heavy duty Big D fly sheets are under $93. That ad index (again… page Page 102), is a GREAT place to check before stocking up!

Some say if there’s a silver lining in a cloudy economy, it’s the prices. Well, it’s more of a platinum lining at Cuddeback Trailers in Lakeside, where the entire inventory of living quarters trailers is priced to sell…including a good selection of units built by Platinum Manufacturing (“Elegantly Engineered and Extraordinarily Tough”), as well as Outlaw Conversions and other goosenecks and stock trailers. It’s a great time to buy a new trailer, and for 34 years it’s always been a good time for the trusty Cuddeback repair team (RVIA-certified) to keep your trailer hauling right. See Cuddeback’s ad on Page 47.

Speaking of hitting the road in elegance and dependability, there’s never been a better time to look at a Sportchassis truck, either. All American Trailer Sales on Sixth Street in Norco was some “wild and crazy prices” that are destined to move quickly all 2007 models. See the All American ad on Page 3 for details!

Yes, size matters, and if you’re over 34 inches tall, you’re too big. At least to be a Miniature Horse. These special animals have special needs, and The Thrifty Horse Consignment Shoppe in Norco now accommodates them with a full selection of Miniature Horse tack, from reins to bell boots. Be sure to see the Thrifty Horse ad on Page 22.

Come enjoy Friday nights under the lights this summer, with Riverside County Barrel Racers! Starting July 31, RCBR is putting on a Summer Saddle Series, with four Open 4D barrel races. Division point winners (best three out of four races) will win Cactus Saddlery saddles. Events will be held at Hidden Creek in Corona. See the ad on Page 84, and call (888) 653-9255.
