Chris Cox headlines Horse Expo line-up June 8-10

Just in time to kick off summer, the Western States Horse Expo returns to Cal Expo in Sacramento June 8-10 with a star-studded line-up of clinicians, trade show vendors and activities. Chris Cox heads the list of presenters, which also includes Horsetrader “Dear Dana” columnist Dana Hokana, Lynn Palm, and Eitan Beth-Halachmy. Back this year is the Magnificent 7 Stock Horse Championship, plus a “Breed Walk”, the Trail Symposium, the Book Corral and “Project Cowgirls!” Be sure to stop by the California Horsetrader booth to take advantage of our ad specials…and also to meet students of the UC Davis Horse Barn, sponsored by California Horsetrader. Speaking of UC Davis, the Horse Barn would like to demonstrate that “the proof is in the progeny!” Join UC Davis on Saturday, June 23, for the Annual Production Sale at the UC Davis Horse Barn. This year, the sale offers a variety of horses, including weanlings, yearlings, a 2-year-old under saddle, riding stallion and broodmares. Horses offered for purchase are by such stallions as Plain Ole Freckle, Smart Lil Highbrow, Little Doc Belle, Master Kaweah, Bas Blanc and Action Jackson. All proceeds will benefit the UC Davis Equine Teaching Program. Cowboy Up Events is having a Trail Obstacle Challenge and Clinic on Saturday and Sunday, June 16-17, in Chino Hills. The Challenge show will be held on Sunday with judge Deborah Abajian and will feature American Horsemen Challenge (AHCA) classes — from Dad’s Lead Line all the way up to Open.
