Top-seller hits $11,200 at NSHA Futurity Sale

PASO ROBLES — Catawhit, a 6-year-old gelding by Catalano out of Call Me Cali Olena, sold for $11,200 to become the high-seller at the 2012 National Stock Horse Association Snaffle Bit Futurity Sale, conducted Aug. 18 at the Mid-State Fairgrounds by Duarte Sales.

Jerry Gorrell consigned Catawhit at the sale, which saw 29 horses sell out of 43 listed.

The other horse selling for more than $10,000 was Dun Skipa Plaudit, a 6-year-old buckskin mare by Jazzys Supercisco, out of Plaudi’s Magda, who earned $10,500 for consignor Sylvia Durando.
