SUN VALLEY — Stevi Fielding, a longtime fixture in the Los Angeles horse world who also served the area as a top equestrian real estate professional, passed away Dec. 23 at her home in Sun Valley.
The popular Fielding, a 1961 grad of Hollywood High School, most recently represented Dilbeck Properties, specializing in equine real estate in general and the Burbank area in particular, representing buyers and sellers in andaround Los Angeles.
She showed Saddlebreds as a young girl, and after college, Fielding showed Arabians on the “A” circuit.
According to Equestrian Trails, Inc., of which she was a long-time member, Fielding’s favorite horse was Prince Lancer.
“Some of us remember Stevi dressing up in a beautiful handmade Arabian costume, shades of lavender, with flowing colorful scarves attached to her silver hat and purple fabric covered saddle, flying around the Equidome with a big beautiful smile on her face,” said Sarah Williams of ETI Corral 38.
Fielding was a horse show mom to her daughter, Tiffany, and also to her granddaughter, Lilly.
“When Lilly was born, it was like living a repeat of Stevi and Tiffany all over again,” said Williams. “Stevi was always at the horse shows with Tiff and Lilly, taking Lilly in the lead line classes, watching, or I should say playing, with Lilly, while Tiff rode in classes. You could tell she was enjoying every minute with Lilly.”
The three of them rode together in the Generation Class at last year’s ETI National Convention Show, and they won the class.
