TEMECULA — West Coast Ranch Horse wrapped up a super Winter Buckle Series on Super Bowl weekend Feb. 7 at Tucalota Creek Ranch in Temecula.

The show also featured a popular Ranch Horse 101 clinic with Gary Roberts, who covered the fundamentals of Ranch Riding, Ranch Rail, Ranch Trail and Ranch Conformation — complete with Super Bowl snacks!

Divisions included Open, Amateur, Green Horse, Youth (18-under), Short Stirrup (12-under) and Green Rider (walk-trot). Silver belt buckles for Division Champions were awarded to the horse-rider combination with the highest point total in each division. To be eligible for the buckle award, riders had to have entered Ranch Riding, Ranch Rail, Ranch Trail and Ranch Conformation in that division in at least two of the three shows in the series. Buckles will be presented at the March 6 show, which is the first of three shows (March 6, April 10, May 22).
