The Saddle and Harness Association is a Southern California non-profit organization serving the Inland Empire, Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange County and surrounding communities. It strives to bring together equine enthusiasts to promote the sport of riding and pleasure driving. Seven 2026 shows provide a great opportunity to ride or drive in a friendly, learning environment, as the club considers beginners and new members as valuable as veteran members, riders, drivers, and trainers. Safety is the top priority, but there is a lot of fun, too.
The shows may count toward point accumulation for some equine riding clubs, but each competitor should check with their specific club. Saddle and Harness does have club year-end awards for riding and driving categories for their members. It also encourages its members to support local equine events, activities and shows. If trail riding and a little springtime camping with your horse punches your ticket, then plan to join the great folks at Equestrian Trails, Inc. for their annual ETI National Spring Ride. This year’s four-day event, scheduled June 11-14, will be at the Chihuahua Valley Horse Camp in Warner Springs. It’s an awesome facility that has individual sites with corrals, water, shade as well as an arena, round pen, wash rack and showers. The ride is a good time, and there is good eating, too — delicious food is catered by the event’s famous cook shack crew.
